Beas Kund Trek, Manali Overview

Begin an exciting trekking excursion with a trek of Beas Kund, which takes one through Manali's beautiful green plains and lofty mountains. Feel your senses with the lovely lake whereby the river Beas rises and observe a contrasting image of the river's clear waters, located within the Pir Panjal Mountain peaks.

You can take a feel of Himachal Pradesh's massive mountains by reaching the top to capture glimpses of the summit vistas of Manali's large mountains, including Friendship Peak, Hanuman Tibba, Ladakhi, and Shitidhar.

If you are lucky enough, you may get a view of Mt Deo Tibba, Indrasen, and other peaks in the Pir Panjal range. Enjoy a lovely camping session throughout the exhilarating hiking excursion by stargazing in your tent at the star-studded night sky.

Tips before going to Beas Kund Trek:

  • Climatic conditions at high altitudes differ from those in the lowlands; they allow enough time to acclimate to high altitudes.
  • The administration retains the right to change the route in an emergency or natural calamity. Pay attention to the trek leaders and instructors to maintain a stable and enjoyable journey.
  • Avoid drinking beer or other intoxicants throughout the walk. The journey passes through an environmentally favorable zone; please refrain from polluting the local sites or campgrounds.
  • Travelers who litter may be penalized. Water is precious; thus, conservation is encouraged.
  • It is not recommended to hike at night unless it is part of the plan and you are accompanied by a guide; this might result in unanticipated disasters.
  • Avoid using earbuds on the hike; they may impair your hearing.
  • Camping in nature is quite simple. Luxuries should not be expected. Electricity may only be available in a few regions.
  • Mobile and laptop charging stations may or may not be accessible at a familiar campground.
  • Bring dry snacks/food from home. Carry a water bottle with you so you may refill it.

Pachhani Thatch has a lot of snow towards the start of the season, around mid-June. The trail is barely emerging from the snow. Considerable evidence of winter will be seen on the trail at this time. The most visible is a frozen Beas Kund surrounded by snow. Only in July does the ice begin to defrost. Although the meadows are a feature of this walk, they only appear when the rainy season intensifies.
